Açaí berries come from a palm tree native to South America. But these berries are very perishable, which is the reason you don't find fresh açaí berries in your grocery store. You're much more likely to find them as an ingredient in juices, yogurt or sorbet. But keep in mind these foods are going to have a lot of added sugar, so pay attention to your calorie count.
